How do I receive an SMS code?

When are new numbers added?

We add a country or service when we can quote it and complete a buy. The shop list is live from the provider. We do not publish fake stock counts.

A service is listed. Why can I not buy it?

The list is the catalog, not a live warehouse. Stock, operator, and wholesale cost move. Confirm shows the live quote. If nothing is available, checkout refuses the sale. Indicative from-prices are a guide only.

Question 4

What is a short-lived virtual number?

It is a number we issue for one inbound SMS check. It is not your personal mobile. It is not a long rental unless that product is explicitly for sale. The default activation window is 20 minutes.

Can I keep a number for longer?

Accepted Answer

Longer rentals are flagged off until we can deliver them. When they exist, the product page will say so. Do not assume a short activation can be reused as a standing phone line.

The destination site rejected the number. What now?

Accepted Answer

Some apps refuse virtual ranges. Cancel in time if the SMS has not arrived so the unused hold returns. Try another country or operator only if you are still allowed to complete that check. We do not guarantee every site will accept every number.

How do I add wallet credits?

Accepted Answer

Open Wallet after you log in. Choose Card or Crypto, then a package. Minimum top-up is $5. Card uses Stripe Checkout. Crypto uses Cryptomus. Email must be verified before the first top-up. Credits appear after the payment webhook, not when checkout opens. Launch flags can hide a processor.

Is there a payment fee?

Processor fees sit with Stripe or Cryptomus. We sell wallet credits, then apply markup on each activation. The retail quote is shown before you confirm. We do not sell an unlimited SMS plan.

Question 9

The top-up did not reach my balance.

Accepted Answer

Paid webhooks credit the ledger once, using an idempotency key. Pending crypto invoices wait until the processor marks them paid. Email support@getverifycode.com with the top-up id. We look at the ledger, not a screenshot of a browser total.

Can I withdraw unused credits?

Accepted Answer

Unused activation holds return to your wallet if no SMS arrives before timeout, or if you cancel in time. Wallet top-ups are account credits, not a cash-out product. Chargebacks freeze the wallet and open a review.

Can I send credits to another account?

Accepted Answer

No. Balances stay on the account that paid. There is no user-to-user transfer.

Question 12

Checkout says there is not enough balance.

Accepted Answer

The live quote is higher than available credits. Held funds from other activations do not count as available. Add a package, wait for a hold to release, or pick a cheaper service and country pair.

I cannot create an account.

Accepted Answer

Use a real email you control. Registration is rate limited. Complete email verification before the first top-up. If the form still fails, write to support@getverifycode.com from that address.

I cannot log in.

Accepted Answer

Check the email, password, and that you are on getverifycode.com, not the admin panel. Customer login is /login. After several failures we slow the attempts. Reset from the login page if that flow is enabled.

Question 15

How do I change the email on my account?

Email support@getverifycode.com from the current address and name the new one. We will not move an account from an address we cannot prove you own.

What if someone used my account without me?

Accepted Answer

Change the password if you can still log in. Email abuse@getverifycode.com from a mailbox we can trust. We may freeze the wallet while we review the ledger.

No SMS arrived.

Accepted Answer

Stay on the activation until the window ends, or cancel in time. Unused holds return to available balance. The default window is 20 minutes. Delivery depends on the destination, operator, and whether that app will message a virtual range.

The code looks wrong or incomplete.

Accepted Answer

Copy the otp_code from the inbox, not a guess from the full message. If the destination site still rejects it, the number may already be known to that app. Cancel only if the SMS has not been captured yet.

The site says the number was already used.

Accepted Answer

Virtual ranges get reused across the industry. Start a new activation if you are still allowed to complete that check. We do not sell a Ban control, and we do not help evade a site's own rules.

Question 20

How do I receive another message on the same number?

Accepted Answer

Some activations can take more than one inbound SMS inside the open window. That is not unlimited traffic, and it is not a second paid check. If the window closed, buy a new activation. We do not send the SMS ourselves.

Can I verify with a voice call or a voice bot?

Accepted Answer

No. GetVerifyCode issues numbers for inbound SMS. There is no outbound call, no inbound voice OTP, and no bot that speaks a code.

How do I find an API token?

Accepted Answer

Log in, open API keys from the profile menu, and create a token. The secret is shown once. Use it as a Bearer token on /api/v1. Shop settings can pause that surface. Cookie session routes on /api are for the website, not for server jobs.

How do I buy a number via API?

Accepted Answer

Read /api-docs or /openapi.yaml. Quote, buy, poll, and cancel on /api/v1. Your server talks to GetVerifyCode. Provider and payment keys stay on Laravel, never in the browser.

Why was my IP or token limited?

Accepted Answer

We rate limit by IP, user, and token. Repeated failed buys, webhook abuse, or ban signals freeze the wallet. Email support@getverifycode.com with the token prefix, not the full secret.

What use is allowed?

Accepted Answer

Use a virtual number for a check you are allowed to perform, including keeping your personal phone off a form, travel, QA, or splitting work and personal. Spam, fraud, credential stuffing, ban evasion, and marketplace policy abuse are forbidden. Read Acceptable use.

Can I sell numbers onto GetVerifyCode?

No. We buy capacity from contracted providers. We do not run a peer marketplace for random SIMs.
